In July of 2014, AmeriCann purchased a five-acre parcel of land located in north central Denver, Colorado. AmeriCann identified the potential of the property for a mixed-use cannabis development called the Denver Medical Cannabis Center (DMCC). In continuing with its business model, AmeriCann has designed the 5-acre parcel for the development of a state-of-the-art greenhouse cultivation and processing center, an infused product manufacturing facility, a potential dispensary, and office space.

The total infrastructure, which has concept approval from the City of Denver, has approximately 125,000 square feet of space. The efficiency of the greenhouse and ground-up development will allow AmeriCann’s preferred partners to produce cannabis and infused products with scale and efficiency in the heart of Denver – the Silicon Valley of the Cannabis Industry.

DMCC will set the standard for modern cannabis cultivation by implementing proven horticultural systems and procedures and innovative systems which will be the model for similar projects AmeriCann develops throughout the nation. Plans for construction are being finalized and construction may commence before the end of 2015. The property is currently zoned for cannabis cultivation and processing by the City and County of Denver.
