AmeriCann Expands Advisory Board to Assist with Aggressive National Growth and Development Plans
Two Significant New Appointments in Horticulture and Compliance Advance Company Capabilities
DENVER, CO / ACCESSWIRE / August 19, 2015 / AmeriCann, Inc. (OTCQX: ACAN), a company with offices in Denver and Boston that designs, develops and owns large-scale advanced medical cannabis facilities, announced that it has added two additional members to its well-respected Advisory Board.
Dr. Brian A. Corr, a noted expert in controlled-environment horticulture, and Nickolas J. Brait, a licensed attorney specializing in the national cannabis industry, have joined the AmeriCann Advisory Board and will play key roles in the Company’s continuing aggressive national expansion plans.
AmeriCann’s Advisory Board consists of a carefully selected array of experts from a wide variety of disciplines – including medical research, plant sciences and seed genetics, greenhouse design, construction, operations, energy efficiency, quality control, licensing and regulatory compliance.

Dr. Brian Corr
With over forty years of experience in controlled-environment horticulture, Dr. Corr is a well known and sought after expert in the scientific production of crops. He has been a faculty member at the University of Tennessee and has worked for international firms specializing in plant genetics. Over his long career he has traveled to over 30 countries to provide horticultural advice. At AmeriCann he will be responsible for new facility design, operations and product development.
Dr. Corr began his career in traditional agriculture and has earned three degrees including a PhD in plant sciences. He became a faculty member at the University of Tennessee specializing in controlled-environment horticulture. Later at the Ball Horticultural Company he managed a research greenhouse, directed research, had responsibility for international sales and was Director of New Crop Development.
Nickolas J. Brait, Attorney at Law
Mr. Brait is well-respected attorney licensed in Colorado and Arizona specializing exclusively in the legal regulated cannabis industry. He is the managing partner of the Denver-based Greene Law firm and a founder of the Cannabis Commodities Exchange of Colorado.
As a member of the AmeriCann Advisory Board, he will assist the company and its partners with license procurement in future states as well as the development of procedures to ensure AmeriCann’s cannabis facilities are compliant with state regulations and the highest industry standards.
He was a Distinguished Scholar at Southern Methodist University where he received his BBA in finance and a BA in political science before receiving his law degree from the University of Arizona.
