AmeriCann is delivering sustainability and scale to the cultivation and production of cannabis and cannabis products. The industry standard of utilizing indoor, warehouse cultivation methods is not ideal. Utilizing the talents of experts in traditional agriculture, we are building greenhouses that utilize a fraction of the energy, water and other resources of warehouse facilities.

AmeriCann’s commitment to sustainability and best practices from traditional agriculture includes the exploration of solar power, geothermal for heating and cooling (storing heat in the ground during the day and using it at night), co-generation power for electricity, thermal heat, CO2, and water recycling.

Why Greenhouses?

Greenhouses use 25% fewer light bulbs than indoor facilities. Overall utility bills are 75% less in greenhouse for comparable warehouse cultivation. Warehouse construction costs an estimated $275 per sq ft to build vs. $125 per sq ft for greenhouse.
